Rather than Universities and further education organisations demanding up front fees for courses i.e. acting just like a business where the student is the market place, Is there scope for universities to 'put some skin in the game' by providing quality education free in exchange for a % of future earnings.

This would ensure that the students education and future success become forefront of the universities mind as their success becomes their future and constantly growing revenue stream.

Obviously this would take some while to start earning money for the university however the 'whole of life' earnings would grow as the number of students under the scheme grew. The most successful universities would obviously then share in the most success based upon the quality of both the output of the university and student base.
